wmwhee
By what percentage of time would I reduce recommended development time for normal development when using a Unicolor tank and Beseler motor base? Thanks. Bill
diwan_bhathal
I use the Unicolor rotary base all the time. I have the instructions for the tank. The recommendation for B&W is a reduction of development time of 15%. On the other hand, common practice is to increase the development time by 30 seconds if a prewash is used to allow the developer to displace the prewash water. Hope this helps. wmwhee
Eager for results, I developed a couple of sheets last night, reducing development by 10% (too little reduction?), and another couple of sheets this morning, reducing development by 20% (too much reduction?). I will contact print the negs to check density and contrast, but I think reducing development by 15% sounds just about right. Thanks. Bill
__jon__
I do 15% less than the published times--seems to work just about right.
