sukumaran_r
Apologies for my ignorance!. When members have said metering on my D2H is dead what exactly does that mean ? How do we detect this ? Thank you.
rainer_t
Sukumaran, May be the term you cite was something like "the metering on my D2H is dead on" ... in this case (and without being a native speaker) I would guess it mean they are very pleased with the metering of their D2H because it's very exact and reliable. ShunCheung
Click on the D2H service advisory: http://www.nikonusa.com/email_images/nikonusa/service_advisory/
grega
I recently experienced a dead meter on my D2H. It is painfully obvious if this happens since the meter system always sets the same exposure regardless of the light. After initial panic, since the D2H was out of warranty, I looked on photo.net forum and found a link to the service advisory. Nikon did just as they promised, fixed the meter, updated firmware and did a complete cleaning on the camera including the sensor. The camera was back in slightly over 2 weeks. This kind of support keeps me in the Nikon camp!
sublimeimages
Mine over exposed by like 3-4 stops, the great ones at Nikon fixed it for no money. Thanks
