DC Supply for Lowel Pro-light

Hey all,

I'm looking to purchase a Lowel Pro-light but was wondering if anyone can recommend a DC battery set-

up to allow maximum portability.

I'm looking for a battery system which is light and doesn't cost the earth - if such a thing exists. I'll be

using the light for still photography, so will only use for short periods and as such won't need hours upon

hours of charge.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

no you can use the prolights with a dc source, just have to swap the bulb and get an adapter cable. I prefer the 4pin dc cables over the cig jack. the 12v bulbs are either 50 or 100 watt. any 12 battery will work, bescor or bauer etc.

if you only need a dc unit, check out the frezzi mini-fill dimmable. great little light, built in dimmer, well designed accessories and built very tough. Doesn't get as hot as the prolight either.

cheers
