vickie_cooper
I took some pictures with the Nikon 995 Coolpix. They look fine in the camera's monitor. But when I loaded them on the computer...they were all much darker than they look in the monitor. So, I printed a couple of them at the camera store to ask their advice...and the pictures were fine. Do you know why the pictures are so much darker on a computer? I'm using Windows XP...and I have a windows viewer to view the images (I also viewed them in PowerPoint...they looked the same). I can't figure out why they look so dark or what to do about them. I don't want to lighten every image...then they won't print correctly. Thanks, Vickie
cd thacker
Hi Vickie,<P> You probably need to calibrate your computer monitor. Also, make sure that the "workspace" in which you view the images on the camera's monitor, matches the "workspace" of the image editor you use. Or vice-versa.
