adam_blaszkiewicz
Hey all!

My Flashpoint 620m took a tumble and the tube was damaged. I had a large octabox on it so I believe unit should be okay (the outside is metal). My question is about the modeling lamp. Should the lamp work if the flashtube is blown? I didn't have a modeling bulb in at the time it fell. I tried it after the flashtube stopped working-- no luck. I tried the same modeling bulb in another unit and it works. I just want to make sure that I just need a new flashtube and not a new unit.

Thanks!
AJG
Your light may be damaged beyond just the flash tube, but if you have another one and are feeling brave, you could plug in the other tube into the non-working flash and see if it works now. If it were me, I would send it in to have it looked at by someone who knows these flash units, as there can be some serious danger to you if there is more damage than just the flash tube.
