padraig__
I have recently acquired a B and have seen many suggestions to send camera to DAG in Wisconsin for a "tune up." Does anyone know how long such a servicing takes with DAG? Thanks.
MTC Photography
You may look into "Minox repair" thread in "Repair" category, and look for people who had used the service of DAG and send him an private email.
I use Minox service at Kinderman/Leica Inc in Toronto. I recently had my C shutter repaired and CLA, it took abaout a week to get an estimate, another ten days to get the work done. Good work, as Kindermann also has Minox factory trained technicians and uses Minox supplied parts. It cost C$138 for C shutter repair, replace one shutter blade then CLA. (Except the viewfinder, which cannot be cleaned, as it is a sealed unit, but my viewfinder is fine ) Excellent service and good price.
I drop and pick up the Minox, and save packing and mailing time. jeffpolaski
Call or write DAG: you can find the address at http://www.swssec.com/minox.html By the way, sws has a neat minox site.
john_westbrook
Earlier this year I had my Minox IIIs serviced (view finder replaced and a cleaning) by DAG. I call him up, got a price quote, and sent him a cashier's check along with the camera. He had my camera back to me, repaired, one week later! ross__
I recently ordered a part for a broken minox 35mm from Donald Goldberg in WI. (AKA DAG) and was very pleased with his service. He was curtious, efficient, and equitable in our dealings.
