brandonhamilton
I found some really nice High-Rez pictures of the D2X. Can I post the link here?

richard_ennis2
HEre is a link to the official Nikon D2X Brochure. Sounds like one Awesome camera. I can't imagine Nikon selling too many more D2H's, unless there is a huge price difference. http://akam.no/images/nikon/digitalkamera/d2x/d2x_english.pdf Rich

rayn
Looks like the ISO only goes to 800. Can this be right?

rayn
Cool. It uses a CMOS sensor...
msitaraman
Hmmm, "hi-speed mode". Wonder if the cropped picture output mode is mere specification cheating on Nikon's part or actually photographically useful. With a 12megapixel sensor, it might make sense to have a lower res output mode... No information on buffer size? Is this getting increasingly irrelevant? With 10 and 15 frame buffers and fast cards, probably so. Too bad about the sync speed. 1/500 sync is genuinely useful, as many a medium formatter can attest. grant_.
the real question is the price...
andrew_tan1
I've seen 5500 euro >_<
richard_ennis2
I believe buffer size is 15 (RAW) shots when in 12.4MP mode, and 29 shots when in the 6.8MP 2x high speed mode.
msitaraman
Aperture priority on older manual focus, AI lenses! And a focusing screen for those who prefer to focus manually. Good stuff.
nathan_dandar
Something about the photos in the PDF look extremely photoshopped. Look at the strap mounts and edges and font on the body, etc.

joseph_wisniewski
Nathan - Do you honestly believe he PhotoShopped the D2X brochure, along with the CoolPix 8800 brochure, CP 8400 brochure, 4400 brochure, and at least 8 addidional large JPEGs of each of those four cameras (that aren't included in the vrochures) just to pull off this hoax, seven whole hours before the embargo lifts and Nikon has the press conference? lukedavis
Nathan, if the photos in that brochure are photoshopped, then that is some of the best, most consistent (from photo to photo) photoshopping I've ever seen.
joseph_wisniewski
Yup, it was real. The embargo is lifted, you can get the brochure right from Nikon now.
