Well i llke the second picture better. The first picture has to busy background and the

natural back light is to over exposed and glowing around the head. I know what you were

going for and the fix would have been increase the power of the flash to bring down the back

light. The girl is adorable.

The first picture:too much backlight, and a poorly posed subject.

Second shot:the dog is awkardly placed in the frame, the posing again seems wrong, and there is too much frontal light.

Thanks, The dog would not cooperate in any way that was the only photo with him. Thank you all and yes i agree I found out fast how difference the flash response to film verses Digital I will keep trying. thanks again

I should have posted the image that I was trying to get. I am trying to get to know the histogram well as it is very hard to see the image outdoor on the screen. Kari you are right Digital is fun and i am fired up to get used it. This adorable kid an dhere dog were a challange she rfused to take the blue shirts undereath which I will have to remove. Here is the image that i wastrying to get in this busy backround. Again I am very appreciative for you who took the time to respond any constructive critisim are always welcome that how we learn and grow.<div></div>

What a doll, she's cute as a button! I would sharpen her eyes to make them pop a little! I love the picture with the puppy!
