Cutting Hedge Photography

Recommended Posts

(Warning: The Guardian source)

excellent article, although i had seen it before.

it’s nice to see photography articles in the graun that promote the artists rather than the daily heil that just filches the work of other sites (and denies them click revenue)

I’ll take those two replies as a “no”.

Good, that’s settled.

I for one am glad all of the art the Nazis got their grubby little hands on wasn’t burned when recovered.

I simply think the protest, Nazi association, is disproportionate to the “crime” and the result of personal political opinion.

I know that folks tend toward overstatement to make political points and think it good practice to reign in the creative writing from time to time with a bit of fact now and again.

Facts are sobering little reminders when emotion and politics swirl about.

“As a photographer, wouldn’t you rather add to sites that instigate these awards (this pg of the year or that pg of the year) rather than the daily heil.“

We agree on the positive point of the argument, but disagree on the negative aspect.

“First you must find... another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle. ("A path! A path!") Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... with... a herring!”

Wow.

Got a lot of mirrors eh........

You clearly repeated yourself.

Is that Puppy or Kitten intellect?

You regurgitated almost phrase for phrase a recent CNBC piece.

Not terribly intellectual.....

You’re sitting on the hedge.

Say hi to Jeb, Mitt, and John.

Just a simple pun post. covefe!

Look where we've got to. SAD

You as well as others like to make, even initiate political posts/threads.

You do it regularly.

Photoshop, photograph a poster or sign, protest street photography, whatever creative way you can come up with to make your political opinion known.

When others respond, you typically whine about it.

Doesn’t bother me one way or the other.

I enjoy it from time to time.

All part of getting a little perspective On where others are coming from, and it compliments their photographs, but ya gotta be mature enough to accept a little give and take.

When I see great photos here from people I disagree with politically, it adjusts my personal bias a bit.

Shows what we have in common.

That is what good art and photos do.

If it makes you “sad”, stop initiating it.

Your bowl should be bigger than your spoon.

;) ;)

The warning was in emulation of another poster who regularly does that.

As for the rest, I'm not the foremost whiner here.

“Can’t take it” ???

LMAO.

Read my post again.

I take nearly every post you make and come back regularly for more.

Love the places I get to go via your photographs.

But I respond honestly when I differ.

I’d expect no less from you.

Simple adult respect.
