DavidRabinowitz
i just downloaded photoshop cs6. camera raw starts out with basic adjustments that do not include some of the sliders such as fill light and highlight reduction (i have the names wrong but this is what they do). My question is, does anyone know how to get from the basic screen to the advanced screen where i can find these sliders. Thanks! David
DavidRabinowitz
i think i found out...cs6 raw does not use them anymore but they can be accessed in the calibration tab by selecting 2010...
keith reeder
David, trust me on this - the the capabilities of the controls in Process Version 2012 are much better than those in PV 2010.
digitaldog
Unless you are revisiting images that were once processed in PV2010, the default is for PV2012 which is MUCH better. With legacy images, you may want to update but don't expect an exact visual match.
To get up to speed, there's always this:

http://mulita.com/blog/?page_id=3084

There are a few free one's, try them first.
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)

DavidRabinowitz
I see what you mean about the sliders in cs6...the shadow and highlight sliders effectively do what the fill and recovery sliders did but with some improvements....David
