William Kahn
I recently installed CS2 on my wife's new PC with Vista Home Premium. So far, it seems to be working OK for her.
akajohndoe
PhotoShop CS2 was one of the first applications I installed onto my Vista Home Premium laptop back in June 2007.

akajohndoe
I just re-read your post, Amy. You are intending to buy CS2 or CS3 now? Unless you already own one or both of these, I would really go with either CS4 or Elements 7 instead.
tomwatt
I seem to remember an Adobe support thread sometime back where Adobe says that CS2 was never designed to run on Vista. Not that it won't, just that if it goes and gives you trouble, you're on your own. If you're going to run Vista, and you're going to purchase Adobe Photoshop, you should really, really consider CS4. In the long run you'll be happier. At this point, Adobe is not supporting CS2 anymore anyway, and while CS2 is nice, CS4 is all that and more.
peterbcarter
With Adobe, if you are not using their current version of their product, you *are* on your own anyway. I was running PS7 before I upgraded then and will wait past CS4 before I make another move. I just use what I need and rarely require the latest.
akajohndoe
That is not entirely true. I have called Adobe several time over the years to work through issues with reinstalling older software onto replacement/upgraded machines.
