Crop mode in A7ii and A7iii

Hello there!

How does crop mode work? Can I choose my crop factor or it should be 1.5 only?

In the crop mode I can see only my crop frame in viewfinder? I want it to be this way.

I just want to use in my future Sony the 55/1.8 as a "virtual" portrait lens, say, 75 or 90 mm and shoot it as a portrait lens, forgetting that it is not. That is I would be able to use one and the only lens as two.

Should I say "goodbye" to my SLR? :eek:

On my A7II, it's APS-C only (when shooting RAW). In addition, there is the option to change the aspect ratio from 3:2 to 16:9 when shooting JPEG. Don't know if other A7 models offer more functionality.
