keithgriffiths
I have a photo of my house taken by one of these companies in a plane. It's a sideways but angled down shot and I would like to convert it fully to a bird's eye view, i.e. looking down on on the house. Is there software or a trick that can do this? chazfenn
The angled sot is called an "Oblique". I don't kow of a correct way to do such a conversion but you could probably get an approximation with a converging verticals application.
Gary Naka
No. Because the image will still be the angled image, which you cannot change. You might be able to use a sw to make it "look" more birds eye straight down, as chazfenn mentioned.
keithgriffiths
Thanks chazfenn for your suggestion. I think Gimp has a facility to do this. Thanks Gary for your clarification and for confirming chazfenn's suggestion. By the way what does the abbreviation 'sw' mean?
Gary Naka
sw = software The problem is you cannot remove what is in the image, the side angle view of the house, the walls. This would not be part of the image IF the image was shot from straight above the house, where you only see the roof, no walls.
keithgriffiths
You have clarified matters for me and as such I don't think I can achieve my ambitions. Thanks Gary.
PapaTango
Get a drone and a GoPro. All the bird's eye views you can stomach... :p "I See Things..."
