Contemplative Photography

Recommended Posts

Greetings:

I am possibly interested in taking a Miksang Contemplative

Photography workshop with Michael Wood. This is based on Buddhist

insight meditation with many exercises to hone "seeing" through the

use of photography. It sounds quite interesting to me since I am

already a mediatator. Has anyone had any experience with this

workshop or method??

Scott,

This sounds very interesting. I just read a bit about it on their website, it sounds like the kind of thing I'd love to do, unfortunately I don't live in North America so I'll probably not get a chance to do one. If you do decide to do it, I'd love to hear your experiences.

Scott, I went and had a look at the Miskang site - it definetly looks like an intriguing blend of photography and meditation. Instead of snapping endless photos in search of the one that meant something to you, I am sure with this technique each photo would speak volumes - if only to you...

If you do decide to take part, I hope you share your experiences with us.
007efX-16985484.jpg.3743f216ade09be33af7a8d231a69001.jpg
