katie_partridge
I need to print about 200 pictures- and I'd rather just upload them to aprofessional site and pick them up locally. However I need to print 2x3's andthe smallest retail printer I can find prints 4x6's. Is there a simple(inexpensive) program I can use to combine two pictures (two 2x3 = 1 4x6) so Irequest 4x6's? mark_sirota1
Um, two 2x3's is 4x3, or 2x6. You need to combine four 2x3's to get a 4x6.
katie_partridge
Good point - but the question remains - how do I do it?
nickwhite
Are you using Photoshop? if so it is easy to do this - open four images, under Image - canvas size, enlarge the canvas for one picture, then drop the other three into it.
katie_partridge
The only photo editing software I have is the simple viewer that came with my camera. Photoshop is pretty much out of my budget.
evan_goulet
Take a look at the <a href="http://www.gimp.org/">Gimp</a>. I haven't used it, but I have heard good things about it.
nickwhite
The 'scaled down' version of Photoshop - Photoshop Elements - is relatively inexpensive, does the vast majority of what the full version does (for photographers) and would open up a whole new area of control for you. The current version (v5) sells for about 60 pounds, but Amazon are still selling the older version 4 from just 11 pounds! You don't say what your camera/software is, but it is possible you might be able to the same within that.
patricklavoie
you can download a demo version of it. or buy Element that should fit your budget.
