College media guide

I just recieved an email from a college requesting an action photo of

one of their former players now with a local minor league team, for

use in the college's media guide. There was no mention of payment, so

do I reply saying I will send them a hi-res file for a fee or ask

them what they customarily pay for such photos. At worst, I figure I

will get credit and a copy of the media guide. This is my first

experience in this area. Any thoughts? I have sold photos to a

baseball card company and a baseball magazine, but like I say, I've

got zero experience in dealing with colleges. I hope someone out

there with some experience in this area can help.

The best way to ensure that you get credit is to have them sign (in advance of providing the photo) that you will get credit and a free media guide; and that if credit is not provided in the initial publication, that you will receive a fee of $XXXX in lieu of credit; and that if you do not receive a free media guide, that you will receive $XX in lieu; and that they will be responsible for any legal expenses that you incur TO ENFORCE the rights delineated in your signed (emphasis - get their signature, or don't provide the photo) contract.
