Collecting Processing Information on Maco IR 820 c

Recommended Posts

I am trying to collect some processing information on Cachet/Maco's infrared film. I would appreciate receiving processing information going beyond the sparse data and developer recommendations given in the film's tech sheet. If you have and tested data, please let me know. Please don't forget to mention the following data:

1) developer, including dilution

2) temperature (20°C, unless otherwise specified)

3) agitation (rotation/cont./30 s/1 min)

4) developing time

Thank you in advance.

Gretings Thomas,

I have used Maco's recommended times with XTOl at 1:3 and found the

results seriously lacking. Furter testing has resulted in the

following: XTOL full strength at 20C in a JOBO processor at 75 RPM

for 5 minutes, no prewash. Plain water stop for 30 sec. and 2 min

fix in Photographer's Formulary's TF-4 fixer. 15 min wash and 45 sec

in Kodak Photo-Flo, then air dried. The negs curled unlike anything

I've ever processed, but produced beautiful results, that easily

printed without filtration, or manipulation. My ISO with a Lee 87

filter was 3. Please keep me posted on your findings and I will do

the same.

Regards
