Collapsible Backgrounds

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a Botero collabsible background and am having

some difficulty setting it up. I wanted to do some test shots and

practice with it before actually using it on a job. It seems like

it should be so easy to set up, so I'm not sure why I'm having a

hard time. Could someone explain the best way to set it up? Does it

need to be attached to a wall somehow to keep it stable or is it

just supposed to lean against a wall to support it? Would

appreciate any advice!!

You can stand it up against a wall but you have the most control using a stand like the one below.

Sometimes, these background's wire rims get twisted and they won't lie straight. You just straighten the rims out by hand. They also tend to warp somewhat, which is controllable with the stand.

<p>They have a couple photos on their web site (<a href="http://

www.fondosbotero.com">http://www.fondosbotero.com</a>) but you can find more

detailled instructions on the Photoflex web site at <a href="http://www.photoflex.com/

photoflex/products/instructions/flexdrop/index.html">http://www.photoflex.com/

photoflex/products/instructions/flexdrop/index.html</a>. Photoflex is a different brand

(better quality) but the procedure is similar.

<p>BTW I own one Botero background and I find it very lightweight. The frame does not

remain very straight, it's not strong enough.
