ryan_peck
Hi, Anyone have any advice on cleaning the IR filters for the M8? I've managed to get a spot of something on it and am not sure how to clean it. I didn't realize that the surface of the filter was cat tongue-like so am unsure how to proceed. any thoughts much appreciated.
blakley
I've been breathing on mine and wiping them with the end of my t-shirt. Nothing bad has happened yet.
guy_mancuso
I have been having some issues also with smearing. Breathing seems to be the best really though. I had eraser marks on mine from fitting one into a adapter for the WATE and it was tough to clean
joseph_wisniewski
I've been using essentially the same type of filters with a couple of Nikon D100 for about 4 years. T-shirts are sufficiently abrasive to trash them over time (they are multi layer filter, you destroy it one layer at a time). I usually use ROR and Pec-Pads.
