Circular polarizer in lenses that take drop-in filters?

  1. Is there a good way to use circular polarizers with lenses that take filters in a drop-in slot? Unless I'm missing something, it looks like there would be no way to turn the filter to make adjustments while looking through the lens. So what are you supposed to do with lenses like this if you want the benefits of a polarizing filter?
  2. As to linear vs circular, they both require rotation to set the level of desired effect.
Perhaps a front mounted filter provides the access to rotate?
  3. Unless I'm missing something ...
Typically, the drop-in polarizers are fitted in a special holder, which has an external wheel to turn the filter.

  5. Got it, thanks! I didn't know there were special drop-in holders for circular polarizers.
