Those who sneer at the possibility of Leicas made in China, probably

don't know that Leica copies were indeed made there as early as the

1950s and as late as the 1970s:

There is also a <a href="http://www.transnationale.org/anglais/transnationale/pays/production/chn_Electronique.htm">Leica Camera AG </a> plant in China.<p>

No idea what product this Leica Camera plant in China is making.<p>
