Their photo of the day is a 1969 shot Pete Conrad took. It is a great photo. There appears to be a Hassleblad in the photo. (Sorry no Leica) Check out the APOD website photo of the day sometime. The site references some other photographers work. The above link is very good. Jeff Spirer often remarks that the tools are not as important as the photographer.
