jennifer_tucker
My canon rebel will not recognize the CF card. It happened once or twice, I cleaned with the CF card cleaner stick, and it would then work. But now, it won't recognize it at all, gives the error message for either of the two CF's I insert. Any ideas... I had no camera on Christmas :(
beauh44
Hi Jennifer, Usually it's best to always format your CF cards once you've removed the images - as opposed to just erasing the card. If you never format your cards they can get pretty messed up. Anyway.... Hopefully you have a CF card reader? (They're only about $20 or so) Normally I don't suggest doing this but since your camera won't read them - and assuming you have a CF card reader - try putting the card in the reader, connecting it to your PC, and then formatting the card using your PC. (Right click and select Format) Assuming this works (and it may not) and your camera recognizes the card, I'd immediately re-format it using your camera's format command. Good luck! glenn_jobson
I had similar trouble with my 300D, I chose to restore the defaults on the camera, then format the card, it worked for me....
