hans_beckert
I was wondering if anyone here uses a 560 6,8 Telyt, and if so, whatkind of case, if any, you use?
jack_matlock
I have the 560 Telyt in the Novoflex mount. Like you, I'd like to know what case would fit.
wayne_murphy8
Leica made a custom flexible leather case for this lens with a side pocket for the shoulder stock. It was not supplied with the lens and was, I believe, very expensive (what a surprise). I once had a 560 with this case and it certainly fitted perfectly. Sorry, I have no leads on one but someone probably has the original catalogue number if you want to search. Otherwise a large tripod case might suit. MTC Photography
I have a 400 /6.8, the original Leitz case is also expensive. I bought instead an Optex tripod case with shoulder strap for this Telyt. The Optex zipper case has inside padding, great for carrying lens. Only it is a bit long for the 400mm, I think a 560 telyt may also fit better. Cost about $15.
jay_.
Any decent-sized photo backpack even a Lowepro Mini-Trekker will fit the 560 when it's broken down (I beg my Canon 300/2.8 in it easily). Why would you want to case it up fully assembled? If you do, I'd look at a music store for a trombone case.
mark-j
I have a 400 f:6.8 with a custom leather case. The case is similar to a tripod bag and has a wide leather belt for putting around your waste. Why not get a custom case made. Custom leather is cheaper than shelf stock LEICA. Cheers. Rob F.
Or better yet, have the custom case made from nylon cordura, so that it won't harbor moisture and fungus, like leather can do.
sandor_a._feher
I use the "Out Pack" by Domke (olive) and it is best suited for my need. It is a padded backpack, the lens fit into it with the body on, plenty of packet on the side and hook up for tripod. This way I just need to lift out the whole camera assembly put it on the tripod and ready to fire.
