"Cartier-Bresson" 50mm lens rangefinder contest, Zeiss Icon RF is the prize.

Jorge from rangefinderforum posted this, but I figured that it would

be better if I reposted it myself. Jorge is a good guy and I don't want him to

feel put-out if someone decided to delete the reference to other photo

forums. Personally, I don't see it as an issue. But this way, the

responsibility falls on me.

 

RFF and PopFlash photo are having a "Cartier-Bresson" photo contest.

The basis of which is that images need to be "street" style and taken

with a 50mm (or as close as possible). First place is a Zeiss Icon RF

camera. I know that a thread for this was posted at one point, but the

contest deadline is sneaking up and it's worth posting about again.

yes, the deadline is the end of march and the prize is a zeiss ikon with zm 50mm lens.

for those diehard leica users it can be a great back up camera.

i have one and a leica m3 and so far there have been no fights in the camera bag;)

I went to the RFF site but all I can see is a link to Popflash web site which does not have any info about the contest. Do I have to be registered with RFF to see the contest details and signup?

Ok. I have registered and have the contest gallery open but I don't have a button to post my picture. (I did verify the registration through e-mail).

As far as choosing a winner, its pretty simple. Popflash and RFF will pick 10 finalists. Those 10 pictures will be published and the winner will be chosen by all the registered members voting in a poll. Oh yes. you can only vote once :)

Nellie, you need to go into this with 50mm lens. I have tons of 35mm Summicron Pics but had to look for suitable 50mm cron pics. Lately I've been shooting more 50mm than anything. Go figure.

Like anyone would know from a cropped 35mm pic.
