  1. Once again, I anxiously approach Thursday with anticipation of enjoying a plethora of photos shared by my Canon toting Photo.Net friends. I find myself encouraged and inspired by the beautiful and creative images you share on Canon Thursday as well on other PN forums. Please share your beautiful photos of the world around us.

You are invited to share up to 3 of your favorite photos. Please ensure that each of your photos has a maximum of 1000 pixels along its longest edge. Your photos should have been taken with a Canon camera.

I look forward to an even greater PN photographer participation each week!

My best wishes to all my PN friends!

Here are my photos for this week as I have made my first, deliberate attempt at street photography in Freehold, New Jersey.

  5. Hi Kathy. Beautiful photos and a touching tribute to your friend Adam. I was working a consulting assignment in the WTC on 9/11 and was running just a bit late so I was not there when the planes struck the towers. My team was able to get out. I lost a couple of friends and spent some time with a woman I saw crying on a curb a couple of days later having lost someone very close to her; like your friend Adam. I’ll never forget. I’ll never forget that woman. I’ll never forget my friends.
Best wishes to you and your family on this solemn and infamous anniversary. Kathy
  6. Thank you Mickey, I'm so glad you weren't there! It's a difficult time of year for me and I'm on the brink of tears often. You're a very compassionate man to have comforted the woman. We all needed a little tenderness then. I am sorry for the friends you lost. In our area it's hard to find anyone that didn't lose someone. It's respect, we remember, we still grieve. A little about the mural for Adam. I was driving to a camera club meeting during an early Spring, late evening thunder storm. The sun broke through the bottom of the clouds and I knew there would be a rainbow. As I exited the parkway I saw it, and was able to pull into a parking lot and followed it to the end. The rainbow ended just next to this mural, which I would have never found. So, at the almost end of the rainbow was this beautiful tribute to Adam, and all the others! How amazinig and fitting. Here's the full image. Yes, the rainbow actually ended in a dumpster! Adam would have laughed. Adam's Mural.jpg
  7. Wow! It’s as though your friend Adam was letting you know that he was alright by giving you something to laugh about with the dumpster at the end of the rainbow rather than the proverbial pot of gold. What a priceless story Kathy. - Mick

  9. Love this shot, my dad used to have a Farmall Super C. Takes me back to my teenage years in the 70's driving that old tractor. :)
