  1. As the seasons begin to change, I find the anticipation of enjoying your photos is palpable. There are so many beautiful and creative images in the world for us to share and enjoy; your photos are an integral part of that beauty.

So, I again entreat you to post up to 3 of your favorite photos. Please ensure that each of your photos has a maximum of 1000 pixels along its longest edge. Your photos should have been taken with a Canon camera.

I canโ€™t wait to enjoy your best work!

My best wishes to all my PN friends!

Here are my two photos for this week. Ithaca Falls, Ithaca New York.

  2. Ok, Ok, I'm back with another shot; this is my 3rd so I won't be back again this week. This one is from Manasquan Reservoir in Howell New Jersey. The reservoir water level was down significantly and afforded me the opportunity to walk out about 50 feet from where the normal water line is. As such I was able to get a much closer look at the driftwood.

  3. Hey Mick, I hope you are in a dry area, after last nights storm! I hope all is well with you and your family. I'm in a good spot, nice and dry. Kathy

  4. Hi Kathy. It's great to hear that you and your family made it through the storm OK. Karen, our 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and I all got through the storm with some moderately strong winds and heavy rain. Unfortunately there are a lot of folks that did not fare as well. Wishing them the best.
    Mick

  6. From the "type specimen" for the phenomenon now called a "super derecho". 106 mph (171 km/h) winds at my local airport and in my back yard

In this case, this "inland hurricane" actually developed an eye in the radar views (LINK)

  7. Hope you're OK!

  8. It was more than a few years ago. We did lose power for over two weeks, so not without recent parallels closer to the coast. At least it was in May, not August.
