<p>Alright Canon Community, Mr. Root has enough confidence in me to put the weight of the weekly phenomenon known as the Canon Thursday Pic on my shoulders. My Dad hardly had the confidence to let me mow the lawn so I'll try my hardest not to screw this up.</p>

<p>I took this photo earlier this summer of my sister-in-law's new Chocolate Lab, Ollie. This was just one of many I shot that day, and thanks to digital I could shoot off a hundred or so with no worries. Hopefully this "family related" photo will cause for a smooth passing of the torch, with this marking my first week as your new Thursday Pic starter. Can't wait to see all the photos.</p>

<p>Oh, and also, we went two weeks straight of over 100 posts, but we slacked off a little last week. Let's try to get into the triple digits again this week and show the Nikonistas who's the boss.</p>

<p>I didn't shoot a lot this past week. Too busy with other matters. Did manage to throw the lens up at this pigeon putting the brakes on.</p>

<p>Nothing extra special this week. I have a busy weekend coming up though! I took this shot yesterday while waiting for the bus with my boys to arrive. <p>My daughter and I were shooting at the butterfly exhibit at Boston's Museum of Science. 5D2 and 100mm L macro at f/3.2. Handheld and no flash at ISO 1600. I'm constantly amazed at the low light performance of the 5D2.<br>

<p>An early start here, let's help Nathan out here. This is just a walkabout shot back in Eureka Springs, AK.</p><div></div>

<p>I wasn't able to get out and shoot this past week, so this is another autumn shot from a couple of weekends ago. The wind has blown the leaves off most of the trees now, so I think this was my last opportunity to capture the fall color. </p><div></div>

<p>Saw this feather floating about, the poor host was in several parts but hey as least it left a legacy of a nice pic, converted it to B&W and bumped the contrast.</p><div></div>
