I am taking full advantage and going to Blackwater Falls, WV to see the fall color. If you know of any must see spots, please let me know.

I was helping a friend move into a new house here in Kentucky this week and we saw this hawk land in a tree right above the roof. I grabbed the camera and fired off a few shots and here's what I got. I think it's a broad winged hawk, but I'm not 100% certain. If you have any insight, please share it. Thanks, and let's see those awesome photos!

michael_elenko
Sheepdog trials were held in my community during the weekend. Dogs from throughout the nation competed. Their task was to round up sheep across a multi-acre field, herd them through two sets of gates, and ultimately into a pen. They did this in response to verbal commands and visual signals from their owners.

A blustery Fall day on a beautiful farm. Too bad the angle of the sun was a little too direct most of the time.

Sheepdog Trials

7D, 100-400 L @ 285mm, f8 @ 1/2000, ISO 400

ME

dee_hornbacher
Been enjoying this thread lately and need to help out with the numbers. This is not from the last week but from a couple weeks ago out Piedra Rd., had been needing a "Photo Fix" outing so took the chance to drive the thirty miles even though the mountains were imminently shrouded in rain clouds. Left to right: Sugar loaf Mtn. and Toner Mtn.
