Canon Thursday, October 3 2019

I want to start the thread and post photos from the ipad but it doesn’t seem to work at thiis moment.

So I’ll post some later when Ikm on my computer.

 

It’s Thursday, so post up to 3 photos, max 1000 pixels wIde.

 

I planned to take the 16-35 to the park, but it rained so much today that all i did was a few flowers from the garden,

while waiting for the roof repair guy (small leak in the living room..) priorities...

and he got stuck on another job, will come tomorrow..

In the City.

 

Been on a 10 day cross country drive coast to coast, the 5D MK IV got a good work out. Lightroom and my hard drives got a real work out. Had to create a new catalog but I have enough photos to fill Canon Thursdays for a life time, lol. This shot is an after sunset shot on the Truckee River in Nevada off the Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway Interstate 80.

I finally bought a collapsible photo backdrop for the occasional portraits and used my tether cable for the first time! It had been in my "stuff" drawer for a few years. A friend of mine said she liked the black background more than the white side, so here it is.

I still have to figure out how to handle glare on eyeglass frames.

At one point, I wasn't sure the main strobe was firing! I was using a Canon on camera flash for fill and to trigger the Alien Bees 400.

And a little thunderstorm with the 15mm fisheye.

Wow! Lots of travelling. Lovely images!

I had a birthday and my husband gave me an "Ankarsrum". It's a very old design. It inspired Elin and me to take some food related photos.

Good to read you feel well enough to go outside Jan.

Hope the roofguy came to fix the leak today.

I think it looks fine as is, like catch lights on the frames. You kept refelctions out of the glasses, so good work. I always like the black back drop too. The self portraits look good.
