Laura Weishaupt
Good Morning Canonites, Today we turn another page on the calendar and jump into August. I'll open today with an image from the inside of an Architects of Air installation. It was one of the many non musical attractions at Musikfest a couple of years ago, and that 10 day festival opens in Bethlehem, PA tomorrow. This year a different kind of visual arts piece will be in place, so I hope to get over there and enjoy a day or two with the camera. The festival sprawls over the town and presents wonderful opportunities for photographers. Nope, I don't work for the organization and have no connection to them. I'm just passing on information about a good event for folks with cameras. Hope to see you there. As usual, limit your posts to 3 images, and keep the size to 1000 pixels on the long axis. Have a great day, everyone.

jdebever
@nick D: in Amsterdam they removed the IAmsterdam letters near the Rijks Museum.. as reason they gave : it was atracting to many tourists. Just some flowers again. Finally got a decent one of the "duizendschoon" been practicing for years.. even bought the 100 2.8 lis to get good one. (the 50 macro was not working for me, small flower..) and some passionfruit/flower. the bee was hiding from the camera.
akocurek
Nothing new this week, so here's one recently shot. EFs-35mm macro. Jdebever, that 100mm macro is a great lens. I bought the IS version because my brother had the non-IS. Had to go better than him!

Trigger_Happy
I don't know what this is, my husband claims that it is a Hercules. Just missed it as it passed very close to our house. At Chrismas the swedish JAS Saab 39 Gripen flew in a formation of a Christmas Tree. They flew very close to our house and I was at home with our youngest. We both fell to the floor from the sound alone... This was a much more agreeable pass-over. 5D Mark IV Sigma 150-600 mm
