pjmeade Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015
A month ago St Paul's Cathedral opened its doors to photographers for an evening.
I spent my time shooting with an EOS 1v loaded with Ilford Pan F 50, not out of choice, but because my 5D2+24-105 disappeared on the way there (now replaced with a 5D3+24-105 by my insurance company).
The first image earned a "commended" in the photography competition St Paul's ran and was hand held with a 70-200/2.8 IS, the second is a ~30 second exposure using a Samyang 14/2.8
<a title="Surprise St Pauls by Pete Meade, on Flickr" href=" src="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8800/16978899790_92a78392e0_c.jpg" alt="Surprise St Pauls" width="540" height="800" />
<a title="Surprise St Pauls by Pete Meade, on Flickr" href=" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7654/16546271763_4ce88cf2a1_c.jpg" alt="Surprise St Pauls" width="540" height="800" />
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dave410 Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015
I just got home from a couple of days in Yellowstone National Park. If you haven't been, I highly recommend a visit. It's a great place to get face-to-face with the animals. And you see a lot of expensive glass there too.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

RickDB Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015
Peter, nice shots in St. Paul's - I shot my first roll of colour slide film there in 1965 with my then new Halina Paulette. This week three newcomers in my yard - #1 Limpkin who had a feast on paper pondshell mussels; #2 Juvenile little blue heron; #3 Spotted sandpiper - six stopped overnight on their migration north. EOS 7D2 + EF 500mm f/4 IS II + 2x II (#1) and Tamron 150-600mm (#2 #3)
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
