It's time to get rolling with our weekly gathering and sharing of great images. Another season of fungal documentation is under way. These big old conks of <em>Phellinus igniarius</em> grabbed my attention.</p><div></div>

<p>One for Laura: An old tree stump provides nourishment for various fungi but I've not seen the ones on the top there before, I think they are Lentinus crinitis; couldn't find a common name.</p><div></div>

<p>Thanks Rick. That's cool. Whenever someone asks me about the common name of this or that mushroom, I tell them "call it Pete". ;-)</p>

<p>Bird taken through the window. I downloaded this to my phone and processed it with Instagram, mostly as an experiment to see about sharing photos when I'm on a trip with no computer.<br>
