jimvanson
Hello all!I've been looking at the Canon forum for advice on batteries for theXT\XTi\400D's BG-E2's grip.I'm in Vancouver, Canada. It's a rather nice place except for the rather highprices you're expected to pay for Canon NB-2LH Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery's.Does anyone know of a reasonable place to mail order a couple of these -- cheap?Actually I should ask if these can be shipped my mail? Are generic battery's a good idea?Your thoughts are really appreciated. Thanks -- jim
stoatsngroats
I've got 2 batteries from ebay, for low cost - the last being ?10 (5GBP), it charged ok , and the last one i bought a year ago still charges and works fine. Others may find different, but for low cost, worth a try?
serguei_fenev
I bought mine on-line from US for about $8-10CAD including shipping - works just fine as the original Canon battery already for more than a year. Here is the link:http://www.titan-batteries.com/storefrontprofiles/deluxeSFshop.aspx?sfid=105223&c=667281&search_text=&srch=90889056&page=2 Good luck. john v.
You can give SterlingTek a try. I've had good experiences with both camera and camcorder batteries from them.
shimonkey
I've bought from sterlingtek too and so far so good, got an extra battery and charger for very cheap and the charger unexpectedly came with a car adapter. Been using the battery for 6 months now with no problems.
jim_simon3
I got one from Batterybarn.com long lasting and says on package that cell is from US or Japan, but assembled in China.
les_gyug1
Since you are in Vancouver, there are some easy local sources. I purchased a few spare knockoffs (cheaper imitations) from a source in Richmond last year and they have served very well. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what that source was because I had them mail them to me. However, I found it by googling, so it shouldn't be very hard to re-find (there can't be too many battery specialists in Richmond). Cheers, Les
michael_g.
SterlingTek is doing a good job for me. Also the charger is 110/240V and 12V with the car adapter
