Alex_Es
Hi ho, Canon FD, etc. shooters. It's June! It either the birth pangs of summer or the death rattles of spring. Either way, show us your stuff! I'll start. I shot this scene from the car as my wife was driving. The lens is an FD 55/1.2 on a Metabones Speed Booster attached to a Fujifilm X-E2. I will, swear I will, go out with my film Canons soon.

arthur_mcculloch2
So with a gifted Canon AE-1, cleaned up now (I posted earlier about the 70 - 210 zoom), all shots with a 50mm f1.8, and a vivitar 2x extender (sounds like seafood). I am only visiting here, normally on the leica site, will probably try to sell this camera. But it was fun using it - speed priority was an anachronism. Anyway, HP5, developed in Ilfosol, scanned on a epson: the first, my spouse, who was off to a KYB (Know Your Bible) convention, the theme of which was pus in boots, the other two, plants. Got to say, the standard lens is a good performer. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)
jim_bielecki1
I had a photo shoot with a new model a few weeks back. I really don't like using FD optics on my digital camera, just too clumsy to use. I did however, take a few. Canon FD 50/1.4 at about F8. http://gallery.leica-users.org/d/455972-2/morgan90+copy.jpg

arthur_mcculloch2
Jim_bielecki|1, that's good. The lighting immaculate. Well done. And photog1514 - 'am I startled'? 'how dare you intrude'. That's a good shot. I remember the old saw: 'dogs have masters, cat's have servants'. Very good shot. Really enjoyed. Thanks.

danac
Here's my wife Deborah and Lilacs a few days ago. The focus is a bit soft but her wonderful smile is really, really hard to catch on film (TMX100) so the image was hurried. I don't know how she stays so beautiful even beyond sixty. I think I must be just about the luckiest guy in the world. 2 A book's a great place to hide out in - Trevanian

jim_bielecki1
Air show in my small town today. I put a roll of Ektar 100 through my F-1N, then took a mess of pics with my Leica digital. FD 500 F8 Mirror lens. ISO 200 at about 1/750. http://gallery.leica-users.org/d/456860-2/Air1.jpg
jim_bielecki1
One more from the Air Show. Same getup as above. I should add that I handheld the 500mm lens. http://gallery.leica-users.org/d/456861-1/air2.jpg
jim_bielecki1
More from last weekend's air show, these on film. Canon F-1N with Power Winder. FD 500 mirror lens. Kodak Ektar 100. The "Yankee Lady" is one of the few surviving B-17's. She paid a visit to our air show and, graciously, flew right over where I was standing. http://gallery.leica-users.org/d/457603-1/yank3.jpg http://gallery.leica-users.org/d/457606-1/yank4.jpg

Later I mentioned to my father how "small" they felt when inside. His reaction was shock. They were giants he told me. I should have known better as he flew them during WWII.

His reaction was shock. They were giants he told me. I should have known better as he flew them during WWII. The "Yankee Lady" flies out of Ypsilanti, Michigan and hits most of the air shows in the Great Lakes area. A few years back, I had the chance to tour the inside. I too, thought it was cramped. Your father has my respect. One of my dad's lifelong friends also piloted a B-17 during the war. I kick myself for not asking him about his experiences. I'm just glad that there are people involved in keeping the memory of the B-17, and the people who flew it, alive.
