Alex_Es
Happy New Year everyone! For some of you it is already 2015 and for those of us in the Photo.net Standard Time zone it is still 2014. I am posting Photo of the Month a little earlier than usual. I am in transit here in the U.S. and not sure what shape either my Internet connection or I will be in past midnight. So give it all you've got FD shooters. December was fantastic. I hope January 2015 will be fantastic too.

My only contribution at this time is a cat (Canon EF + FDn 50/1.4). When my new F-1 finishes its first roll I'll post something else.

Have fun. Go for it.

ashbrown
Jim, we can see the main snow zone, the melt zone below it (cris-crossed by various zig-zag climbing trails), then the russet brown colour of the volcanic shale around the bottom of the pic. Some dark grey clouds are also floating in the lower foreground. I've never been up to the top, but hope to one day...

jim_bielecki1
On occasion, I photograph models. I photographed this gal, who has the most incredible tattoos, last month. I used my F-1 (original) with a chrome-nose FD 50/1.4 at about F4.0. I wanted the high-contrast look so used a strong quartz light shining directly at her. I used the last of my Agfa APX 100 film purposely over-developed in Rodinal so as to build contrast. I also shot medium-format but the 35mm shots came out the best.

jim_bielecki1

Jim, now THAT is some kinda bird...awesome plumage!
Genuine FD.

Yep, FD all the way. I should also add that I was using a “B-L” screen in my F-1 and a Motor Winder F. This is a real nice combination for people/portrait photography.

gary_d1
Nice shots as usual. Much better IQ than the Canon FDn 85-300 / 4.5 that you returned....
Bill C1664885404
Yes, the FDn 300/4.0-L and 400/4.5 are just really darn good lenses...
Alex_Es
I"m afraid all I have to offer is more cats. Also another shot of Akashi Castle. Last Sunday Akashi Castle was crawling with cats. I shot them with my new Canon F-1 and FDn 85/1.2L. The castle shot presented here was made with an FDn 24/2.

First, the castle shot.
