don_boyd3
Here's a few scanned slides from a couple of trips my family and I made in 1979-1983 while stationed in Europe. Used Canon F-1n with nFD 100mm f/4 Macro lens handheld. Film was Ektachrome-X. Hope you enjoy. Don B in Hampton Roads

canonfduser
Don, thanks for sharing the photos of Brindisi. I remember visiting there in 77 when I was in the Navy. My pictures are long lost and seeing yours brings back great memories.
jtk
EX was an exquisite film...I processed thousands of rolls in a Calumet nitrogen burst system with modified color developer...preferred it to Kodachrome...E6 is sharper, maybe more accurate, but I think EX had more character...E4's reputation for greenish color cast was entirely the fault of labs...(Kodak in Palo Alto, Dallas & Paris, and Media Generalists, the pro lab I managed in San Francisco did beautiful work)...pro-labs and non-Kodak photofinishers usually did terrible E4. ...if you think your color is a little dull and "off," you can revive it and perfect it in Photoshop or Elements. Don't bother to adjust at the scanner level (I love my V...keep it simple).
