gracedigiacoma
How do you preview the depth of field/ get the aperture to actually get smaller or bigger when the ring is turned. Sometimes I can get the camera to do it by accident, but I would really like to know how to do this on purpose. I have read through the manuals found online and a how-to book on Canon SLR cameras. jim_bielecki1
Which camera are you using? It varies by model. Are you using FD or FL lenses?
chuck909
FD or FL - the depth of field works the same on the F1, and F1n. Push the multi-function lever towards the lens - that's all you do. For the New f1, push in and release the silver button on the camera body next to the lens. With FL lenses, you can preview via the switch on the lens itself, or some FLs have a button to push
