art_major
Hi, Im having issues with my Original Canon EOS-M camera and I can't seem to find anyone who could answer my question. The EOS-M has been sitting in my closet for 4 years so i finally deiced to do something with it. I installed Magic Lantern in the camera with the intention of making time lapses etc. I purchased a cheap 3rd party 7artisans and I can't seem to get the shutter to fire or get the video to record. The camera works fine with my canon 22mm lens however. am I doing something wrong? thank you in advance.
Marcus Ian
Have you tried setting it to full manual mode (or as full as possible)? (I don't know anything about EOS-M, but I've had other EOS cameras which misbehaved in Av, TV, P, and full auto when they had old non-native lenses mounted)

art_major
I figured it out! went through a bunch of YouTube videos. In case anyone has this problem as well. Go to Menus - custom functions - scroll to #7 (release shutter without lens) - select enable.
