dennisgg
I found this and it is cool for us Canon shooters!
http://askalexia.com/2011/01/02/dslr-camera-shaped-usb-speaker/
john_pasquariello
is it crop or full frame ? :)
alan_bryant1
Looks like it has a pop-up flash, which would mean it's crop. There's an LCD on top so it isn't a Rebel - the button layout appears to be similar to my 30D.
fmueller

The camera-shaped USB speaker is priced at $75, which is very much cheaper than a real DSLR camera.

That reminds me of a friend of mine who went on for years how he wanted to have a Harley. One day when he was carrying on again, his girlfriend couldn't stand it any longer, and told him if he hadn't bought all his Harley shirts, Harley jackets, Harley watches, and so on, he could have afforded to buy one years ago.

KEH currently has a 300D for $126. Not the latest and greatest, but takes far better photos than any USB speaker!
frank_skomial
This camera could serve well for all the goofy people.

Huge name NIKON or CANON on this USB camera would help improve their image.

I know some... bring camera to son's graduation with dead battery inside, ...bring camera to his father's next wedding with only film left to shoot one picture.

They might as well bring this USB camera, instead.

fmueller

Yeah, but how does it sound..?

If you drop both of them on the floor, the 300D will probably sound better - more of a solid clunk than the plasticky click of the speaker!

Kidding aside, I wouldn't expect to get much 'sound' out of a USB speaker that looks like a camera. Better to use your $75 and browse Craigslist. I paid $80 for my Infinity RS-4b, and they just needed new surrounds for the woofers - a quick DIY job. My JBL Decade 26 I picked up free from the curb, but they needed a little more work ;-)

Infinity RS-4b
