stephan_matthies
The canon 10d stores a dcim file on the cf-card. This file contains a canonmsc-file in which you find 3 ctg-files, e.g. 100.ctg, 101.ctg and d.ctg. Can I delete these files or do they have any relevance? Thanks in advance for any hint. q_az
IF you want your camera to keep the photo ID umbers in sequence then leave the files alone. If you delete them you run the risk of replacing earlier stored photos which may have the same file name (number). This has happened to me.
