jonpaul_hills
Hi. I have a Canon AE-1 program SLR film camera, and it has a serious problem. When I advance the film, when the advance lever gets to the end of the camera the camera makes a sound like the shutter is firing. Upon further inspection, I found that the mirror swings up, but the shutter does not activate. After the lever is brought back to it's original place, pressing the shutter release button causes nothing to happen, as if the film was never advanced! Because of this, it has caused the camera to be rendered inoperable. Does anybody have any advice as to what could be causing this?
