amol
Hi everyone, I was browsing DPReview, and I came across a post stating that the difference between "super-fine" and "fine" settings were not that different when it came to image quality on the A80. Basically implying that users should use the "fine" setting because it gave more images per card, but would also give good image quality. Is this true? What are the compression ratios between the two settings? I can see that for 4x6 this may not matter, but what if I was to enlarge to 5x7, 8x10 or even 11x14 (which maybe pushing it on a 4 meg camera). I was just wondering if anyone has noticed the differences between "super-fine", "fine", (and "normal"). What is your opinion on this matter? What settings do other Canon digicam-users use? Thanks, Amol
joe_zammarelli
Yes, there is a difference, but you really, really, REALLY have to look for it. Why bother? Cards are cheap. Get a big one and use super fine. bon chance
