joe_nash1
Ok, I know there is about 6 yrs technology between both cameras. But I can get a G3(fresh refurb from a canon repair center) for about the same price as the a470. I like the feature of RAW, 4mp on a larger sensor, and the f2-3 lens for the G3. The A470 has some neat caveats as well. I did compare pics on Steves digicams, and the a470 is not as crisp as the g3, but the g3 has more visible noise.
Any of you have both, or any suggestions?
Michael Eckstein
I only have the G3 and at iso 50 or 100 it makes very fine 13" x 19" prints. It is so good for casual shooting that I have never bothered to update it with a newer model.
This image taken with the G3 was entered as 13" x 19" print in an international salon and won the judges choice award.
http://www.photo.net/photo/2867718
joe_nash1
Michael,
Thank you for replying. Very nice picture indeed. I think your post has swayed me towards the G3. I also like the idea it uses the same battery and CF cards my 40D uses. Thanks again.
