johnny_tsang
Can this lens use the fd 1.4x extender?
awahlster
optically yes
Physically without one in hand it's impossible to know if the rear of the lens will allow the protruding front element of the 1.4X to fit inside of the back of the lens.
And the FL telephoto's aren't exactly a common lens. SO if you have one you might take a photo of the rear and post it.
alan_swartz
Non-answer: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/fllenses/canonFL500mmFLUORITE.htm shows a rectangular baffle on one particular lens, but on casual examination the baffle opening looks as if it might be a little taller than we see on the FD lenses. To confuse the issue, there's a 1.4x-A pictured on the page with it.
