canon 24 f/2.8 or 35 f/1.4

  1. for wedding group photos inside the church
  2. It really depends on the size of the group and the size of the church, but I would personally go for the 35 1.4, because it lets in at least one more stop of light.

  3. You have both? Or are you looking to buy? You are comparing a $1,100 lens to a $280 lens. Of course, if you compared the 35/1.4 to the 24/1.4 lens you'd be comparing equivalently priced lenses.
  4. If you have enough money to actual buy the 35mm, then you probably have enough money to buy the 24/2.8 too. So there you have it. Get em both.
  5. I have the 24/2.8 and 35/2. They are both excellent but have very different PoV, hence used for different purposes. You FIRST need to decide which PoV you want/need.
