Canadian company unveils square compact lens

    I wish they explained a bit about how the lens worked. The only real info I saw was at the end. 50% more light? Wow, a whole one half f/stop.
  2. That sounds quite amazing. It won't have to be the sharpest lens in the world to be successful, but it will have to be affordable. If it delivers, mirrorless cameras will be even more modern than they are now, and film cameras, even medium format ones, will have compact super-telephotos (mirror lenses excepted).

    I poked around for their patent but wasn't successful; maybe they're withholding tech info until they make some commercial headway.
