Can someone tell me where these were taken?

I recently found two boxes of slides in a office at work and trying to determine where they were shot. The U.S. based company I work for acquired some European chemical plants/companies in the 1990s & early 2000s, so my first guess would be the locations are related to that. Also would be interested in when they were shot if anything in the photos suggests a date.

First three are the Kremlin, Moscow, last also looks eastern European, but will be much harder to pin down I expect.

 

I have to confess, I didn't know where they were, though I was guessing eastern Europe, so I shoved them into google image search, it works fairly well with distinctive buildings.

Thanks Steve. Moscow was not one of the cities I was expecting, but I've matched all of the "tourist type" pics with places around Red Square. I'm guessing the "industrial type" pics are from the area too, but never knew we had any dealings with companies in Russia / USSR.

If "slides", that suggests the positives are 'mounted' - there is sometimes a date code, on the mount.

No date on these frames, just they little dot showing the side that goes closest to the bulb. Or was it away from the bulb...

Educated guess: based on the length of the women's dresses; the fact that some women are wearing pants; the type of handbags the women have; the car; the assumption that some groups of people are tourists; the hairstyles of the young men; the women's shoes - I reckon the slides of Moscow's tourist attractions are just prior to the 1980 Summer Olympics.
