There are gold versions of the AIII (at least the AIIIS), B and C. Speical editions of the LX and AX are in gold.

The gold versions are normally brass and gold plate. The LX selection is a gold plated standard cameras and the gold wears off if in normal use. the LX Gold I with the AX Gold II that have the signature of Walter Zapp on the back are heavier cameras and cross chequed finish.

LX Selection, LX Gold I, AX Gold and AX Gold II can be obtained new and do turn up on auction regularly. Expect to pay 650-1350EURO.

The LX 2000 is black and gold and perhaps the smartest 'user' camera.
