You can try FAXing the appropriate manufacturer at the address listed at http://photojpn.org/DIR/manu.html . I have a web article on purchasing cameras in Japan at http://www_swiss.ai.mit.edu/photo/japan-buying.html, but this is only of help if you plan to visit Japan. There are catalogs in Japan that list all the products available and from which vendors (I've seen them), but, to my knowledge, they are not on-line and all in Japanese. If it's an accessory to a Japanese-made camera and a store doesn't stock it, it can be ordered (eg, I ordered two Bronica 95mm metal screw-in lens caps for $10 each from Yodobashi in Yokohama, but it took about 3 weeks to receive them).
